With season 1 of Rescue Bots finished, it’s time to move on to Robots in Disguise! No, not the Car Robots dub. Or the IDW series. No, this Robots in Disguise is the post-Prime animated series with an anthro twist, and this week we’ve brought in our friends Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop from The Isle of Rangoon to give us a primer on Team Bee and their beastly Con adversaries!
Before we shift from Rescue Bots to Robots in Disguise, this week we’re jumping back to Hasbro’s earlier attempt at a preschool Transformers cartoon, 2003’s Go-Bots! It’s time to dust off our VCRs and spend a little time on Earth with Aero-Bot, Speed-Bot, Beast-Bot, and an assortment of other obviously-named robot pals as they help defend humanity against… the egos and hubris of their own kind, apparently! Is this the worst thing called “Go-Bots” we’ve watched this summer? Do all these episodes seriously have the same plot? Will we ever purge the theme song from our minds? Join us if you dare for the entire 4-episode run of Transformers: Go-Bots!
After accidentally leaving
the almanac Dithers behind, the Bots and the kids return to the present to find themselves in a dystopian alternate timeline where Doctor Morocco has taken over all of… Griffin Rock? Maine? The United States? Honestly the boundaries are unclear! Can they evade his army of MorBots long enough to find a way home? Are Prime and Bee only good for doing murder? And can we get in one last To Sell Toys before the season ends? Join us this week for the second half of the Rescue Bots season 1 finale, “Bot to the Future”!
We’re back this month with Not Quite SDCC News, Scorponok hype, and more comics!
Doc Greene finds a nearly-completed time machine from the 30s in a hidden bunker, so he does what any red-blooded citizen of Griffin Rock would do and gets it working! But when the Rescue Bots accidentally get pulled in with the kids in tow, can they find a way back on their own? Without the internet? Wait, is that Doctor Morocco in the 30s, exactly the same age as he is now? What the heck?! Join us this week for the first part of Rescue Bots’ season 1 finale, “It’s a Bot Time”!
Cody wants to be more involved with the Burns family’s rescue operations, but his attempt to help out during a fireworks warehouse fire shows how dangerous that can be for a kid. But something being a terrible idea has never stopped Doc Greene! Equipped with a force field generator, Cody is ready to save the citizens of Griffin Rock as the superhero Rescue Boy! What could possibly go wrong? What does the scouter say about his power level? And how long will we spend talking instead about Rescue Roy, the 2001 fire truck Transformer? Join us this week for “Rescue Boy”!
Something is causing earthquakes all over Griffin Rock! What kind of nonsense is causing regionally-inappropriate disasters this time? Can the Rescue Bots stay undercover saving the citizens when Frankie is waving her new video camera around trying to make a movie? And can Chase figure out this “humor” thing? Join us this week for “Shake Up”!
The Burns family’s plan to throw their dad a surprise party backfires when he assumes they just forgot! Lying about picking up a cake for himself to keep them from feeling bad seems harmless enough, but not when he stops on the way home to check out something suspicious and he and Chase fall into an old lead mine! Can the others figure out where they are before things get too perilous? Can Chase get his head around the idea of lying for a good reason? And most importantly, what are our favorite kinds of cake? Join us this week for some “Little White Lies”!
We’re back, and this month we’re talking upcoming toy leaks, ill-advised trips to the store, and how maybe they should just put that ongoing comic storyline on ice for a while!
Oh no, spooky ghosts are showing up all over town! Who ya gonna call? The Rescue Bots! But ghosts aren’t real, right? So who’s responsible for these Scooby Doo shenanigans? How deep will the Ghostbusters references get? And can Cody explain the concept of ghosts to the Bots without actually mentioning dead people? Join us this week for “The Haunting of Griffin Rock”!
